-Today:
A generally dry start and in the north, some sunshine for a time. However, cloud and outbreaks of rain, perhaps locally heavy will edge erratically northwards during the day. It will feel cooler than recently. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Tonight:
It will remain generally cloudy with further rain, locally heavy for a time with a low risk of thunder. It will become rather misty in places too. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Friday:
A cloudy and misty start with rain in many places, but it should gradually turn drier and perhaps brighter during the day. It will feel rather chilly. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Some rain for a time later Saturday and into Sunday, otherwise apart from a few light showers, mostly dry with sunny intervals. Feeling chilly in strong northeast winds.
UK Outlook for Monday 19 May 2008 to Wednesday 28 May 2008:
Most places are likely to see some fine, dry conditions with sunny spells to start with next week, however there is a risk of scattered daytime showers developing. Some heavy showers are possible over southern England, perhaps with more persistent rain in the far southeast. Northern Scotland and perhaps some eastern parts of Britain should remain fine, but from midweek showers or longer spells of rain are forecast to spread eastwards across the rest of the UK, bringing an unsettled end to next week and start to the following one. Temperatures will largely be around normal at the start of the period and cool on North Sea coasts, however it should turn rather warm generally during next week and perhaps warm in the south later on..
